In April 2025, a ministerial ordinance amending part of the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations was promulgated.
Businesses are required to take specific measures to prevent heatstroke, and may be penalized if they fail to do so (effective June 1, 2025).
The Occupational Safety and Health Subcommittee discussed strengthening measures to prevent heatstroke in the workplace, and also mentioned the use of "wearable devices" as a measure to "identify workers with symptoms of heatstroke."
