Born in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
Graduated from Ishikawa Prefectural Wajima Lacquerware Technical Training Institute
After apprenticing to traditional craftsman Shunpei Tsunode, he apprenticed to lacquer artist Masao Kobayashi.
