Penlux Masterpiece Grande Reserva Blue Tears Fountain Pen

The Masterpiece Grande Reserva Blue Tears draws its name from the blue tears of Matsu, Taiwan — a phenomenon caused by Noctiluca Scintillans, a type of microorganism in the water. By day it presents as a reddish, rusty tint; at night, the algae glow blue when agitated by waves, a defensive reaction to escape predators.

This rare natural light show inspired the Reserva Blue Tears, Penlux's most premium Masterpiece Grande, finished with rhodium-plated trim.
