Forever Piuma takes its name and shape from the quill pen, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's studies of flight — the Modern Ethergraf edition channels that same form into an inkless writing instrument. Carved from dyed solid maple wood in a charcoal finish and set on a brushed steel base, it balances at its own centre of gravity, making it as much a sculptural desk object as a working pencil.
Handcrafted in Italy, the inkless Ethergraf® tip writes by oxidation, needing no ink or graphite refills, and leaves a fine, graphite-like, smudge-resistant mark.
