Anti-breaking lead system
Write even without the lead extending beyond the sleeve. The sleeve protects the lead from breakage. 

Auto-lead-forwarding mechanism
As you write, the sleeve gradually slides back along with the lead inside. The spring-loaded sleeve advances forward every time you life the pencil from the paper. With this mechanism, you no longer need to click over and over again.
