[Nerikiri]
Nerikiri is made by adding gyuhi (mochi rice cake) to white bean paste and kneading it over heat.
In the tea ceremony, sweets that enhance the taste of the tea are considered appropriate, and they are chosen according to the season, purpose, and theme of the chaji (tea gathering). Nerikiri falls under the category of jōnamagashi (high-grade fresh sweets) and is considered suitable as the omogashi (main sweet) to be served with koicha (thick tea).
