PF Two is the second chapter of the "Design Writing" project — a collection built around the idea that a writing instrument's essential function is only the first step. The body is shaped from anodised aluminium using precision micromechanical engineering, giving it clean, tapered lines and a distinctive flattened facet that keeps the pen from rolling off the desk.

The fountain pen nib is described by Pininfarina as "calibrated" — tuned to protect ink flow from changes in atmospheric pressure and temperature, for consistent performance whether used daily or occasionally.
